Collaborative Research with NARC

Project Overview

The partnership with NARC focuses on generating locally relevant, evidence-based insights by combining controlled research environments with real-world farm conditions. Through this integrated research approach, PNARD and NARC are assessing the agronomic, environmental, and economic performance of regenerative practices under varying soil types, climatic conditions, and cropping systems.

 

Key Focus Areas

Scientific Validation of Regenerative Practices:

Testing soil health, nutrient management, crop rotation, and residue management strategies.

On-Station & On-Farm Integration:

Bridging formal research trials with farmer-managed fields to ensure practical applicability.

Agro-Ecological Adaptation

Evaluating performance across diverse regions to support region-specific recommendations.

Sustainability Metrics

Monitoring soil fertility, water-use efficiency, yield stability, and environmental outcomes.

Implementation Approach

The research follows a structured and collaborative methodology, including:

  • Joint trial design and protocol development with NARC scientists

  • Establishment of replicated research plots at research stations and farms

  • Regular field monitoring, data collection, and performance analysis

  • Farmer engagement through demonstrations, field days, and technical guidance
